I love being a part of the Kaladhaara family and I teach beginner, intermediate as well as Adult beginner batches

I really enjoy seeing new students learn and grow. This also gives me an opportunity to continue practicing Bharatanatyam.

Anuradha Sukumaran

Assistant Director

In 2011, I found my artistic home at Kaladhaara, where I continue to refine my craft under the inspiring mentorship of Smt. Mathura Viswanathan. My exploration of rhythm has deepened through training in Nattuvangam with Sri. Nagai P Sriram since 2020. I am grateful for the opportunity to pass down the art form to the next gen in this community. Bharatanatyam is a mind space for me to let my inner self transcend to a dimension beyond the physical realm!

Charanya Ramaswamy

Facilities/Rehearsal Coordinator

I am very thankful to my parents for having introduced me to this dance form as a child. Even with a few breaks in between, I found my way back to dancing when I joined Kaladhaara a few years back.

At Kaladhaara, I enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate level students and this keeps me accountable for my practices and progress as well. I love learning, performing, watching and this is my biggest stress buster! I work full time as a Hardware Engineer and enjoy being outdoors hiking or biking with my kids.

Aishwarya Viswanathan

My love for dance was ignited by a performance that I watched when I was 9yrs old. Ever since that my love for the art has only been growing. Thanks to the Raghuvamsa flyer that put me in touch with Kaladhaara and brought me back into the world of dance. Im grateful to be associated with Mathura and Kaladhaara. I teach beginner classes. Working with the kids gives me immense pleasure and the satisfaction of passing down this art form to the next gen.

Raji Viswanathan

I have been learning dance from a very young age. Dance gives me a good workout, freedom from mundane life, inner peace and sense of satisfaction.

I am lucky to be part of Kaladhara faculty, teaching the foundational class to the students. I am also a student at the school and I am enjoying learning and teaching this beautiful form of dance.

Rajini Aiyah

Instructor and Stage Manager

I'm grateful to my parents for introducing me to Bharatanatyam and deeply indebted to my Guru for nurturing my passion. I completed my arangetram and a 5-year course in theory and practicals. I joined Kaladhaara as a parent in 2014 and later became a faculty member in 2019. Dance helps me connect intellectually and spiritually. I feel the unison with eternity through Bharatanatyam. As an Adavu teacher at Kaladhaara, I cherish imparting this beautiful art form to the students.

Mayura Ravi

Dance and Carnatic Vocal Lead Instructor

Dance has been a part of my life from a young age. It gives me great joy and I cannot imagine a time when I am not learning, practicing or being a Rasika of dance. I was very fortunate to have been introduced to Bharatanatyam at the age of four. I trained under several gurus and completed my arangetrem under the guidance of Guru Kalamamani K J Sarasa.

I joined Kaladhaara in 2016 in the production of Raghuvamsa and have recently begun teaching in beginner classes. I love being part of this community and doing my part in passing on this beautiful art form to next generations.

Aarthi Krishnamurthy

Music has been a constant in my life, be it learning or performing from a young age and I am so grateful to Kaladhaara for giving me an opportunity to be in touch with music more through teaching Bhajans.

The enthusiasm of the kids keeps me motivated each week. I look forward to each class as it gives me a chance to unwind, destress and be present.

Vatsalya Narayan

As a faculty member at Kaladhaara, I've grown in so many different ways. Being in high school I enjoy teaching kids as it allows me to better communicate and understand nuances of learning and choreography. I currently am an Adavu batch teacher and help manage foundational concepts. I have been with Kaladhaara since it's starting and was recently initiated as a teacher into its wonderful faculty team!

Anvita Chinthada

Technical Coordinator

Bharatanatyam is the one and only passion in my life that I was able to experience and make progress in. This passion gave me opportunities that keep me going. I have been learning Bharatanatyam with Smt. Mathura Viswanathan since the age of 8. I did my Arangetram at the age of 15 and it was one of the most accomplishing and rewarding experiences in my life.

Kaladhaara has given me numerous opportunities as a dancer which aided me to give back to this community of dancers by being able to teach as well. I'm grateful for this community's support I've had for the past few years and I hope to bring inspiration in the next generation of Bharatanatyam dancers.

I have been a student at Kaladhaara since 2018. Bharatanatyam has taught me a plethora of lessons regarding footwork, expressions, history, and more. But beyond this, I have learned about the important of practice and discipline of the art. Dance is outlet of creativity, grace, and strength which I have developed a passion for thanks to training here under such amazing gurus. I hope to inspire the same passion in the students I will be training

I joined Kaladhaara at the age of 7 and my love for dance has grown ever since then. I am glad to have had so many oppurtunities to perform on stage such as Saptami fondation, where I won first prize and had the opportunity to dance with KCRA on TV. Through many years of experience in dance, I have completed my Salangai Poojai, in 2018, and successfully completed my Arangetram in 2023. I enjoy teaching kids, and at the same time going to Sac State.

Sadhana Suresh

Teacher in Training

I’ve been part of Kaladhaara for seven years, and dance has always been my way to release stress and express myself without words. It’s where I can channel my feelings, build confidence, and grow as both a dancer and a person. Teaching kids this beautiful art form is something I love, because I get to share not just the technique, but also the joy and creativity that come with it. My hope is to inspire them the same way Kaladhaara has inspired me.

Swetha Ramkarthik

Teacher in Training

From 2019, Kaladhaara Arts Academy has taught me Bharatanatyam, and I have grown in dance so much since then. After becoming a senior student, I started assisting in teaching the younger batches, and once I completed my arangetram I TA'd for the beginners moving into the intermediate level. Currently, I am teaching kids at the post-alarippu stage learn more about the dance form beyond the foundational steps with new kinds of pieces. I am so glad to be apart of younger dancers' journeys, and I hope to help more kids grow and enjoy the art of dance as I progress more as well.

Dhatrisri Alla

And, recently completed my Arangetram on August 9, 2025, which has inspired me to bring even more passion and dedication to my teaching.
